Well we are into June, i was just wondering on how you think your team has been doing so far? Is it good, bad or average? I would say Boston is doing average considering the way Pedro has been playing, it just seems to me that he has been struggling Boston could step it up by not losingg a game, but then again we are not getting any help from any of the other teams because they arent beating the Yankees. So i was just wondering what you think of your team so far?

For my 1st post on the board here, I'm just going to copy and paste what I said about my Kansas City Royals on the Utopia FB board:
Here's the 411 on the Kansas City Royals:
1) They have a decent offense, probably the strength of what is a horrible baseball team (and this is coming from a loyal Royal fan since birth). I'm still higher on Sweeney at 1st than Ken "I Clothesline Jason Grimsley" Harvey....granted Harvey has the athletic upside. When KC goes to NL parks, expect to see Harvey in the outfield. Carlos Beltran is being, well, Carlos Beltran. Don't expect to see him much longer in that Royal Blue and White, I hate to say. Same goes for Joe Randa, Sweeney's best friend. Juan Gonzalez has been a HUGE dissapointment. If the power of the $$$ never hit this ball club, it's scary to think what lineup it could had been....
RF - Beltran **CF - Johnny Damon **LF - Jermaine Dye 3B - Joe Randa SS - Angel Berroa 2B - Tony Graffanino 1B - Mike Sweeney/Ken Harvey C - Benito Sanitago/Kelly Stinnett DH - Juan Gonzalez/Harvey/Matt Stairs Util - Mendy Lopez, Desi Relaford
**= Players that are gone
2) The hitting is decent, the defense and pitching is just downright atrocious. Especially the defense. Last year they committed 1/2 the errors as they have now, and even more, they have made some of the more bonehead plays. When you have slow as snail Matt Stairs in RF, I could see this past weekend David Ortiz frothing at the mouth.
3) Pitching could be blamed on the youth, but the veterans are really the ones to blame. Darrell May is a waste of air IMHO. He just flat out sucked Satutrday night. Brian Anderson looked more comfortable comin out of the pen. This pitching staff will be better once they get healthy (Ascencio, Hernandez, Snyder, Mullen are all on rehab). Again the most quality reliever has been Jason Grimsley. He came thru time and time again in key situations. One pick up that has been a bust is Scott Sullivan. Seems like each time I turn my head, only to see him give up a gopher ball. Mike MacDougal was a flash in the pan. Expect to see Jeremy Affeldt and his sick curve in the closer role for quite some time.
So, what should KC do? First, spare us the drama and trade Beltran and Randa for some HEALTHY QUALITY starting pitching. I heard a deal involving the Padres w/the Pods giving up Sean Burroughs (a young 3rd baseman) and Xavier Nady for Beltran and Randa. Axe Nady and throw in a Peavy or Adam Eaton. Beltran is expendible because at Triple A there's a guy by the name of David DeJesus that is priming to be the next Carlos Beltran. Then there's that Bonds-like guy Calvin Pickering. Keep polishing the young arms Gobble, Greinke...and get the older ones healthy.
This team really isn't that far off from being good again. It's all about fundamentals (which they don't have), timely hitting w/men in scoring position (which they haven;t done), and lockdown pitching (they haven't had consistent outings).
Sorry for the rant, someone had to step up lol

Considering the injuries to our top players (Prior, Wood, Sosa, Grudzeilanek, Gonzalez, Borowski) I'm very happy the way the season has went so far.

My Yankees are once again kicking everyone's a**, as usual. It's pretty sad that everyone is so bad compared to them.

Brewers are just playing solid. They win two and lose 1, it'll be like that all year. Lyle Overbay baby.

the giants f---ing suck. we need another bat, another starter and 2 arms in the pen from being a legitimite postseason team.
