I couldn't Disagree with you more, HD&B.
not only did I enjoy the movie VERY much, as did everyone else to a packed midnight showing, the box office results come monday will show that many others will agree with me that this is the best movie of the summer.
short review: contains spoilers!
Tobey Maguire shined as as Peter Parker once again in this sequel to Marvel's 2002 summer blockbuster Spider-Man, And so did the rest of the cast. In my opinion,
these films are cast extremely well, and the writer's really know how to develop each character to their fullest potential.
Case-in-point; Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane Watson has gone from the girl next door and Peter's Crush, to a successful Model/Actress.
She is loves Peter very much and is confused about why
he distances himself from her.
James Franco as Harry Osborne has gone from a best friend of Peter Parker to having mixed feeling about him since he holds Spider Man responsible for his father's
death, and Parker claims to be friends with 'ol webhead.
Rosemary Harris Does a superb job yet again as Pete's
Aunt May. Harris and Maguire great emotion in their scenes together.
Pete's Aunt is the only family he has left and it shows how much they care about one another.
the only scenes that are even better than the ones mentioned above are the ones with Maguire and Dunst.
when they are onscreen together, you just KNOW that they were meant to be together.
they have that same exact chemestry they had in the
comic.
Alfred Molina plays a menacing villan as Doctor Otto
Octavius/Doc Ock.
I'd have to say the trenchcoat was a great choice
for him in this film (what were you expecting, yellow spandex?
) J.K. Simmons is even better as J. Jonah Jameson and provides some great comic relief, and its too bad we didn't get more of him in this film.
We also get some great cameos by Ted Raimi,
Bruce Campbell, Stan Lee, and Willlem Dafoe.
GREAT performance by Dafoe!!!
Okay, I'm going to stop before I tell you everything about the film because I know that not everyone has seen it yet!
My Rating for Spider-Man: 5 out of 5
